This listing presents a significant entry for collectors of contemporary independent music: Panchiko's "DEATHMETAL" on a distinctive Red Cream Vinyl LP. The album's journey from internet enigma to revered cult classic has cemented its place in recent music history, making physical editions particularly meaningful. This specific pressing, notable for its Coral Pink Sleeve, OBI strip, and clear indication of a limited run of just 500 copies, offers a tangible piece of that unique narrative. It’s an edition designed to appeal to those who appreciate the story behind the music as much as the sound itself.
As a "New" item, this pressing suggests an unplayed, pristine copy, which is always a key consideration for vinyl enthusiasts. The Red Cream vinyl promises a visually appealing aesthetic, likely a marbled or split-color effect, complementing the album's distinctive soundscapes. The Coral Pink Sleeve adds another layer of specific design choice, and the OBI (Original Band Insert) further signifies this as a special, perhaps early or regionally inspired, edition. "DEATHMETAL" itself is celebrated for its influential blend of lo-fi aesthetics, shoegaze textures, and electronic elements, standing as Panchiko's seminal work. For a serious collection, a numbered, colored vinyl in this condition is a compelling addition.
The dedicated following Panchiko has cultivated, largely due to the unique rediscovery story of "DEATHMETAL," creates consistent interest in their physical releases. Editions like this, clearly marked as a "Limited /500" run, naturally attract collectors seeking to own a piece of that narrative scarcity. The combination of the album's cult status, the specific colorway of the vinyl, and the inclusion of an OBI makes this particular pressing a noteworthy acquisition. The listed price reflects these converging factors: the artist's reputation, the album's significance, its inherent rarity, and the pristine "New" condition.
