This listing presents a truly distinctive find for collectors of experimental electronic music: the Panchiko DEATHMETAL album on a striking Blue Splatter Vinyl LP. Panchiko’s journey from internet obscurity to cult phenomenon is legendary, and this release represents a tangible piece of that unique narrative. The album itself, 'DEATHMETAL,' is their most recognized work, celebrated for its haunting lo-fi aesthetic and pioneering blend of shoegaze and electronic elements. This particular pressing comes with an OBI strip and is noted as a Limited Edition, with only 500 copies ever produced, signaling its immediate appeal to discerning enthusiasts.
The 'New' condition of this record is a significant draw, suggesting it is unplayed and preserved in pristine form, offering the full, intended experience. The visual appeal of the Blue Splatter vinyl adds a bespoke touch to the listening experience, often characteristic of special, limited pressings. The inclusion of an OBI strip, traditionally found on Japanese releases, further enhances its collectibility and provides a unique aesthetic detail. For those who have followed Panchiko’s story—from their initial mysterious online presence to their eventual rediscovery—owning a physical artifact of their seminal work, especially one with such specific features, grounds their unique legacy within a collection.
The enduring appeal of Panchiko, driven by their compelling origin story and the innovative sound of ‘DEATHMETAL,’ means that official physical pressings are highly sought after by a dedicated global fanbase. A limited edition of only 500 copies, combined with the distinct Blue Splatter coloration and the OBI strip, elevates this particular pressing beyond a standard release. This scarcity, coupled with the album’s cultural significance as a rediscovered classic, often supports a premium valuation within the collector’s market, reflecting its unique position and the difficulty in acquiring such specific variants.
As a 'New' item, this Panchiko LP should arrive in immaculate condition, likely factory sealed, ready for its new home. We always recommend carefully reviewing all provided listing photographs to confirm the exact details of the OBI strip, the blue splatter pattern, and overall condition. This ensures complete confidence in the specific pressing you are acquiring. This is a special opportunity to add a notable piece of modern music history to your collection.
